This question is much like the many generations-long growth of strong oppostion to midieval Western Euro Catholocism.
Most follow the established Dogma without having any hope of reading the specialized language that the Dogma is written in, nor having the training in the abstruse theories underlaying much of it.
Most of us just follow along with the phrases we learn as acceptable, and otherwise live our little lives.

On Plasma cosmology, it's a matter of how we can use it? The same with the Bang, and the same with quantum physics.
Unless one is looking for cosmic truth, and it is intellectually satisfying, that is one thing. If you desire humanity to benefit from physics knowledge, that is quite another. I am in the second camp, and am not much troubled by the teachings of either Hannes Alfens, or Georges Lemaître.

How can we use it?
Plasma physics and electromagnetism are used to build and run our smartphones, computers and countless other modern gadgets.
Quantum physics is helping us develop a new generation of computers, which so far seems to be mostly in prototype form but could one day produce tech with amazing capabilities.
Big Bang cosmology has not produced a single valid technology, not even the most basic working prototype.
This is because the Big Bang is BUNK!!!

It is possible that the Big Bang has not generated much in the way of usable technology, but it helps us to form and test ideas of what is and should be out there. It ultimately led to the conclusion that there has not been enough time for a large number of samples of life to form...thus explaining the Fermi non-paradox. Now that we know the truth, we needn't spend much time or money looking for alien life. Their ain't any. The money and time we save from that can be put into building fusion reactors and reaction-less drives.

You cannot use a bunk theory to debunk another theory. That just means your theory is built on a foundation of utter nonsense.
But yes we should have more research in nuclear fusion, preferably not the sort that lead to tech based on flawed understandings of plasma such have plagued mainstream astrophysics.

1) The expansion of the universe
2) The cosmic microwave background
3) The abundance of light elements
