Exorcism! Can you believe it?

Meet Harrisburg’s modern-day exorcist

A cadre of Catholic priests are made to do them:

"When asked if he has seen a demonic possession, Szada laughed and said, “More than one.”"

I noted a lot of pro-exorcism links looking up something related yesterday.

Consider the millenia-long aspect in all cultures we know of similar issues, however some other culture describes it.

Possession by some "other" is the norm. Some kind of spirit they believe in, such as our Devil, is also the norm.

When one is a current or former believer in any Christian faith, and a relative comes to you for help, and little Jimmy is acting possessed...

I would want psychiatric help. But I can easily see many going the "exorcism" route. And for whatever reason, lots of witnesses claim it has worked.

Doc, in the article the Priest says everyone is referred to medical doctors prior to making a decision on whether it is 'demonic' possession.

They relate a story of a girl walking up walls while under medical care. My guess is that they decided she was a good candidate for demonic possession.

Like UFO stuff, I'd like to believe the Spider-Man possessed girl walking up the wall.

But I try to hold myself to some kind of standard.

In cases like that, and now that so many camera-laden smartphones are all over, nobody seems to have theirs when something like this happens? Guess not.

Would what we actually see if there were camera-laden smartphones around to capture an actual demon possession in action?

Are there documented eyewitness reports of possessed people being able to defy the laws of physics, levitating above their beds, walking up walls like a human spider and so forth? Or is that just something that movies about possessions (like The Exorcist) made up?
