The impeachment freak show.... The Republicans will succeed to keep their President in office, but they are gonna have to withhold or suppress all documents and testimony.
This is a good thing..... otherwise the next Democratic President could be removed because the Republicans don’t like them.

Then, as a result of the same forces that compelled him to testify, Hunter and Joe Biden will be forced to testify...which will lead to the fall of the Biden crime family and ultimately to the destruction of the Obama Legacy. All of this, of course, will keep Warren, Sanders and Klobuchar in Washington while Buttigieg takes the lead in the caucuses. Better hope a man married to another man can win with Blacks, Hispanics and centrist Christians in November!

Usually the person on trial doesn't get to decide which witnesses show up. If the White House doesn't let first hand witnesses testify then they can't whine about a lack of first hand witnesses.

But the yearning, burning hope to find some magic testimony may push them to walk up to McConnell and say "Yeah, we want (one, two, etc) witnesses and we accept that you get the same number."
The Repubs then get the Bidens testifying under oath.
That probably wont sink them - lotsa crap out there for a long time hasn't sunk them.
But it will help Durham, Barrs' bloodhound, get yet closer to the target. The testimony will help Durham "tree his 'coon" even faster.
Without the testimony, Durham will find his mark. It will take a guy like Durham. The establishment sees just another one of the boys, and Bidens' competitors? Look at how weak his big challenger, Bernie is. See from the mouths of two of his biggest supporters:
They gently, but firmly berate their beloved Bernie for apologizing to Biden for an absolutely true comment from a Bernie supporter - the supporter had laid out some basic facts about Biden corruption.
Of course, what they won't go into on that show, is the Bernie corruption.

What whining? Trump calls it a sham and a hoax, which it is, and goes about the business of making America great. John Bolton should not testify because it is a bad precedent, not because Trump is a bad President.

This is just the Kavanaugh strategy writ large. They will keep it going until the election. They know they can't beat Trump, but hope that they can hold the House and maybe, just maybe, take the Senate.
If the Dem's take the House and/or the Senate in 2020, we'll have civil war by 2024. If the Reps take all three, we've got a chance at a peaceful outcome. But those on the Left won't like it either way.
