Vermont bill to replace Columbus Day with Indigenous Peoples’ Day advances

The PC march through the institution of our education system produces this bit of modern "advancing."

"The bill cruised through the Vermont state Senate but faced some opposition in the state House of Representatives. A Republican-led amendment to create a separate day in February to recognize indigenous people failed 42-95.

Dozens of cities have chosen to replace Columbus Day with Indigenous Peoples' Day in recent years, including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Nashville, Tenn.; Tulsa, Okla.; and Salt Lake City.

Columbus, Ohio, the largest city named after Christopher Columbus, instead chose to honor the U.S. military and veterans last year."

Ach! Even Columbus, Ohio!

Yes, the Stalinistic path has been laid:

Destroy the culture in all ways. Find reasons to tear down statues, burn flags, and eliminate national days of remembrance.

In this case - in the name of revenge for some past "sin."

The GIF from the classic advert:

The Indians were noted for stoicism, and would pro'lly not cry over trash. They themselves despoiled much nature.

They set forest fires to clear land for more grassland for their horses.

They ran big herds of buffalo over cliffs and rode around to a path to "down there" to "harvest" what fur and meat they wanted.

The majority of the formerly majestic huge animals would sit there rotting, and attract flies and scavengers.

And, ironically - like Chris, that fake Indian was an Italian!

!@#$ yeah! I grew up in Vermont and I live with my best bud who is half Polish and half Maliseet Indian. He has also been the choir director at my hometown Catholic church for over 25 years. We are trying to get the state of Maine to do the same thing. In Maine, if you had Indian blood you were taken from your mother and father and sent to internment camps. This was not that long ago. My family came over on the Mayflower and we destroyed the entire Turtle Island population. Today is the anniversary of the battle of General Custer. We stole this Country just a few years ago from the natives. BTW my buddies father had three brothers. Two fought on Iwo Jima one was in the navy and his Dad landed on Omaha Beach so Mr. Columbus can go !@#$ himself.

According to Iroquois oral history, Sky Woman fell down to the earth when it was covered with water. Various animals tried to swim to the bottom of the ocean to bring back dirt to create land. Muskrat succeeded in gathering dirt, which was placed on the back of a turtle, which grew into the land known today as North America.[2][3] In the Seneca language, the mythical turtle is called Hah-nu-nah,[4] while the name for an everyday turtle is ha-no-wa

My family! Edward Winslow had the first Thanksgiving with the natives of Turtle Island. I am a direct descendant of King Edward the 1st. Go home to your country if you can't stand the great American melting pot. We devoured and overran this continent in just milliseconds of cosmic time. We are now seeing thankfully women and all people of varying backgrounds enter into our government and I know you white men don't like that. So !@#$ off.

Erk! Be that the sweet flow of progressive love? Something certainly flows tellingly from those posts.

The flow of more traditional love is a wee bit more appealing:
