If it is done like Charles Murray describes, it might work:

Otherwise, it is just shenanigans.

What? Spiko admits a Democrat might have a good idea?

I am flabbergasted!

We've had lots of UBI discussions both on KAI and here on EV.

The Murray plan means killing Aaaaall the Fed "hand out / help out" programs. Includig, just to be clear:

All Ed funding, Social Security, Medicaire, and Medicaid.

Pete "Booty-Judge" is way, way unlikely to make it past the firt round of the Dem primaries, against the big field they already got.

It would solidify his chance of not doing so if he says "oh - my UBI plan? It kills..." and then he names those programs.

Not that I think his plan does that. He's very Lefty, so doing what Murray does to make it cost less wont be his choice. Besides - unlike Murray, "Good Lefty" Pete would be fine with almost any amount of more money tossed into the National Debt.

Pete may be successful enough in the first round of Dem Primary voting to qualify for the next round. If so - his odds will then drop to the floor.

The next round of Dem Primary votes is chock full of Super Delegates. If none of the first round contenders hits 50% of the total vote - it goes to the next round.

With superdelegates now in play, the question is: Which "Dem Corpo Elite" copacetic candidate will they anoint?

The anointed one gets the Yuge odds of having most of the superdelegates all "coincidentally" going for him or her.

Old Joe, Kamala, Corey - someone like that. Kamala more likely, being black and female and all.
