The trickle down thing is only as good as what it produces. Now so far, it has produced incredibly low unemployment. Even in the face of big companies importing foreign workers into the USA, and nobody says anything! This under Obama and the Donald!!! If you want me to speak against CRONY CAPITALISM, I will do so enthusiastically, because this is Globalism, this is Corporatism, this is Plutocracy. Hated it under Bush 43, Obama, and now DJT!! Lend me a soap box and I will excoriate the World!!! nondisclosed_email@example.com (spud100)Sat, 23 Feb 2019 19:30:55 +0000 Re: Greedhttps://bescapevelocity.runboard.com/p25097,from=rss#post25097https://bescapevelocity.runboard.com/p25097,from=rss#post25097Who really benefitted from Trump's tax cuts? The banking industry hauled in $28 billion in extra profits last year because of the lower corporate rates. That's a 44 percent increase in profits from 2017. At the same time, the largest banks have cut jobs and slowed their lending to customers. This is yet another example of how Trump and the GOP's trickle down economics has benefitted the wealthy and large corporations at the expense of the American people. More socialism for the rich and harsh capitalism for the rest of us.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Papa Guinea Pig)Sat, 23 Feb 2019 19:21:26 +0000 Re: Greedhttps://bescapevelocity.runboard.com/p25090,from=rss#post25090https://bescapevelocity.runboard.com/p25090,from=rss#post25090If you get all tangled up just tango on. :)nondisclosed_email@example.com (Papa Guinea Pig)Sat, 23 Feb 2019 18:46:27 +0000 Re: Greedhttps://bescapevelocity.runboard.com/p25088,from=rss#post25088https://bescapevelocity.runboard.com/p25088,from=rss#post25088Hmmm.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Papa Guinea Pig)Sat, 23 Feb 2019 18:38:42 +0000 Re: Greedhttps://bescapevelocity.runboard.com/p25083,from=rss#post25083https://bescapevelocity.runboard.com/p25083,from=rss#post25083People have always been immoral, shiftless, and self-gratifying. For ages, humankind struggled to find a conceptual system to operationalize their spiritual shortcomings. 1. Pride is excessive belief in one's own abilities, that interferes with the individual's recognition of the grace of God. It has been called the sin from which all others arise. Pride is also known as Vanity. ============================================ With your democrats its all about Black Pride, and the arrogance of democrat lawyers and so-called, journalists. Hollywood gawdlings 2. Envy is the desire for others' traits, status, abilities, or situation. ====================================== This is your socialism, and you take away from others what you don't earn. 3. Gluttony is an inordinate desire to consume more than that which one requires. ===================================== Hollywood, Wall Street, Silicon Valley monsters-all democrats 4. Lust is an inordinate craving for the pleasures of the body. ===================================== Harvey Weinstein, Bill Clinton, hollywood. 5. Anger is manifested in the individual who spurns love and opts instead for fury. It is also known as Wrath. =========================================== Most acts of violence emanate from the democrats in action. It's a weekly occurrence. 6. Greed is the desire for material wealth or gain, ignoring the realm of the spiritual. It is also called Avarice or Covetousness. ========================================= Socialism, gaining from unearned income at the cost of those who do the work, your Wall Street Hedge Fund Chiefs who FUND the democrat party. 7. Sloth is the avoidance of physical or spiritual work. ======================================== Again, democrats, are good with any dictatorship that gives them free things.nondisclosed_email@example.com (spud100)Sat, 23 Feb 2019 18:14:53 +0000 Re: Greedhttps://bescapevelocity.runboard.com/p25082,from=rss#post25082https://bescapevelocity.runboard.com/p25082,from=rss#post25082While the wages for most Americans have gone nowhere over the past decade, the salaries of top executives continued to climb. The average S&P CEO now makes 273 times more than the median employee. At some companies the ratio is much worse. For example, the CEO of Mattel makes 4,987 times more than its median worker. In the 1950s, the so-called Golden Age of American capitalism, CEOs of America’s largest corporations were paid, on average, 20 times the pay of average workers, and the top marginal tax rate was 90 percent. We must rein in these huge salaries in order to rebuild the American middle class. What do you think?nondisclosed_email@example.com (Papa Guinea Pig)Sat, 23 Feb 2019 18:03:12 +0000 Re: Greedhttps://bescapevelocity.runboard.com/p25075,from=rss#post25075https://bescapevelocity.runboard.com/p25075,from=rss#post25075nondisclosed_email@example.com (Papa Guinea Pig)Sat, 23 Feb 2019 16:33:58 +0000 Re: Greedhttps://bescapevelocity.runboard.com/p25073,from=rss#post25073https://bescapevelocity.runboard.com/p25073,from=rss#post25073nondisclosed_email@example.com (Papa Guinea Pig)Sat, 23 Feb 2019 16:28:26 +0000 Re: Greedhttps://bescapevelocity.runboard.com/p25072,from=rss#post25072https://bescapevelocity.runboard.com/p25072,from=rss#post25072More conflicts of interests inside the White House. Kushner Companies is seeking a $1.15 billion loan from federally-owned mortgage lenders Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to purchase apartments in Maryland and Virginia. It could be one of the biggest deals in the history of the company. Meanwhile, Jared Kushner still serves as a key advisor to Trump, holding tremendous sway in Washington. But he has retained control over the vast majority of his interest in Kushner Companies, worth as much as $761 million, according to government ethics filings. Trump and the family members he’s brought into his White House don’t give a hoot about public trust.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Papa Guinea Pig)Sat, 23 Feb 2019 16:23:34 +0000 Re: Greedhttps://bescapevelocity.runboard.com/p24895,from=rss#post24895https://bescapevelocity.runboard.com/p24895,from=rss#post24895Every time Democrats have a popular and effective proposal on the table Republicans call it "socialist." They called Franklin D. Rooselvelt a "socialist" for passing Social Security. They called Lyndon Johnson a "socialist" for passing Medicare. It's the same tactic they've been using for at least 80 years.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Papa Guinea Pig)Thu, 21 Feb 2019 20:35:30 +0000 Re: Greedhttps://bescapevelocity.runboard.com/p24891,from=rss#post24891https://bescapevelocity.runboard.com/p24891,from=rss#post24891Whether it's paying Amazon $3 billion to move to New York or giving American corporations a trillion-dollar tax cut, trickle-down economics doesn't work. The better way to grow the economy is from the bottom up, by investing in our people -- their education and skills, their health, and the infrastructure the links them together.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Papa Guinea Pig)Thu, 21 Feb 2019 20:05:00 +0000 Greedhttps://bescapevelocity.runboard.com/p24349,from=rss#post24349https://bescapevelocity.runboard.com/p24349,from=rss#post24349intense and selfish desire for something, especially wealth, power, or food. Greed, or avarice, is an inordinate or insatiable longing for material gain, be it food, money, status, or power. As a secular psychological concept, greed is an inordinate desire to acquire or possess more than one needs. The degree of inordinance is related to the inability to control the reformulation of "wants" once desired "needs" are eliminated. Erich Fromm described greed as "a bottomless pit which exhausts the person in an endless effort to satisfy the need without ever reaching satisfaction." It is typically used to criticize those who seek excessive material wealth, although it may apply to the need to feel more excessively moral, social, or otherwise better than someone else. The purpose for greed, and any actions associated with it, is possibly to deprive others of potential means (perhaps, of basic survival and comfort) or future opportunities accordingly, or to obstruct them therefrom, thus insidious and tyrannical or otherwise having a negative connotation. Alternately, the purpose could be defense or counteraction from such dangerous, potential negotiation in matters of questionable agreeability. A consequence of greedy activity may be an inability to sustain any of the costs or burdens associated with that which has been or is being accumulated, leading to a backfire or destruction, whether of self or more generally. So, the level of "inordinance" of greed pertains to the amount of vanity, malice or burden associated with it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greednondisclosed_email@example.com (Papa Guinea Pig)Fri, 15 Feb 2019 23:43:38 +0000
