I personally feel that future AI will be more alien. Theres a whole bunch of stuff AI can do now that is superhuman. If it was able to take on more human characteristics why would it ditch the superhuman aspects?

I personally believe "human level" AI is way more than 5 to 10 years away. Goertzel has said human level AI was 10 years away for several years - the finishing post slipping further away as we try to get closer.

Read article and comments. I am not sure what Goetzel means by human level. He needs specifics. Like speed? Or bits estimated 10^15 per sec? My lament is, after viewing the chart, what is the real impact? Longevity? A better bottom line for the corporation? New inventions conceived by machinery much faster than humans can do?

It's kind of time to make these experts come up with specifics, rather than vagaries. Let Goertzel predict!
