Yes, Beto "bit the big banana" on this one.

Beto - the Irish-American Dem Texas Senate candidate..

Versus

The Hispanic-American Repub Texas Senate candidate, Cruz.

The Irish American Dem candidate did indeed oafishly say what you said, I kinda heard. The vid audio was not the best. I sorta heard it, and read it in the article.

At the bottom of the article they hit a very important point for Repubs to keep in mind.

And I knew this already, only thanks to some vids I saw during the Trump-Clinton fight. It's important that more people realize that this is one reason President Trump maxed out the Black vote Repubs can expect.

Around 30% of the Black vote responded to Trump at least partly because he was very hard and stern about Illegal Aliens:

"Black Americans are often the most supportive of reducing immigration levels. A Harvard/Harris Poll conducted this year found that 48 percent of black Americans said they would like to see between only one and 250,000 legal immigrants brought to the U.S. a year, a near immigration moratorium when compared to current levels.

A CBS News/YouGov Poll conducted a few months ago revealed that a plurality of black Americans in swing districts who say immigration has changed their neighborhoods concede that immigration is making life in America “worse” for them.

About 36 percent of black Americans said immigration has changed their communities, and roughly 45 percent of those black Americans say the mass importation of mostly immigrants from Central America is making their lives worse off."

It's Liberal (communist) white-turd, like Joe Kennedy 3, telling their serfs what to do and how to think. But, I cannot decide for the dem rank and file what to do. If they like being screwed over by rich, white, elites, all we can do is point out their stupidity. Maybe some will see this contradiction in terms?

"Wha..? Why don't Black voters do the math, see the Repub case?"

Good news! Answer readily available.

The major effort the Dems have kept up with to maintain that hold is to push racism.

From education to PR, as much as possible. It has been a big part of our national conversation to do this since the '60's. Partly harshly with the Black Panthers and fists in the air, and partly benignly, with the peaceful "dream" version of the MLK story.

Harder and more thoroughly every few years. By now yearly or even monthly - for a long time it was simply "the old racism." Now more and more the "white racism" thing.

Push "racism - White America is very racist," and push it hard. Play up any push-back and make the biggest event out of it as possible, tossing "racism" accusations around like confetti.

Try like the devil to "spoil" the idea of any kind of racial comity. By now, MLKs' "dream" of not seeing race, instead is explained as misunderstood by Whites who just enjoy the "feel good" sound of that speech. We find that MLK got more into being pretty much "just another of the early Black activists who wanted more equality."

Our current new young activists have an edgy perspective that can be seen in an article that also shows the new view of MLK I just described. This youngster is a good example. Note his Pastor:

"As a youth, Preston was inspired by sermons by Rev. Jeremiah Wright at Trinity Baptist Church. But he said things that worked in the past simply are no longer effective."

https://www.dnainfo.com/chicago/20160510/downtown/chicagos-young-black-activists-dont-care-if-they-offend-you/

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There we have todays setpoint. The Rev Wright - he's too tame! No longer effective!
For todays politics, Dems can just sit back if they want. Groups, teachers, lots of American society now periodically emphasize racism in many imaginative ways.
Many try to make Blacks hyper-conscious of racism. Help Blacks as a priority, but all others as well to see racism everywhere, all the time.
When young Blacks are swimming in this message, and look up to teacher and ask "what is the answer?" - Black Dem leaders in neighborhoods have that answer. Be an activist who "educates" about racism!
Dems start young! Generations ago, this program was mainly pushed in inner city schools. Now the racism curriculum is also generally in many grade schools all over. Certainly in many Universities.
Its a very simple idea, in a way. Paint your opponent a vivid, fluorescent red and pour liquid sh*t on him.
"OK - now lets debate!"
For decades Repubs have been obligingly working uphill, cooperating with that script.
How the heck did Candidate Trump defeat that? How did he achieve close to 30%?
It wasn't just him. Black conservatives and whites as well have been preaching truth to the Black community in the US for decades now.
Many Blacks and other conservo's helped during the Campaign. Kanye and others have come to his aid afterward. Candidate Trumps' hard stance on illegal aliens and his manner - his personal manner - both also made that difference.
He began by totally rejecting PC- directly blowing it off if it was raised. Any of the PC "claims and blames" that have been piling up over the years - any that appeared got blown away.
The way he casually blew away "the deadly Megyn Kelly" at that first Primary debate was not unique to that moment. It was simply him giving his immediate answer to a "gotcha" question. He was simply speaking as casually as any of us on the street to anyone talking to us.
He was able to relax and let his mind come up with something as she kept on. Then it hit him to say "Rosey," and he was ready to riff all night if Megyn wanted to play with him.
I think thats why she dropped it. I think she saw that confidence, and no fear.
His manner of speaking is real, not a "good pretense of a regular guy." Because it IS real!
Such a contrast to almost all other "scripted candidates." They seem to all embody neutrality and avoidance of unscripted, challenging conversation. He seeks that out! He speaks as a man proud of his accomplishments, his Women, and his "bling."
Him dancing in that square in that one video was a man who was relaxed and confident to be highlighted that way in the vid.
He can be showy in a way few people can - such as doing that WWF wresting scene with Vince McMahon that got photo-shopped to be "Trump Grounds and Pounds CNN."
Like his success in general, his personality is a Yuge part of him maxing out the Repub Black vote .
