Re: China AI driven bomb making factories
Spud,
Your article is interesting - pertinent to both the current issue of dealing with China, as well as the idea often considered by futurists today - automated manufacturing.
If the ChiCom leaders decide to, their command economy can go full bore to do that throughout its arms industry.
Unless some dramatic change happens here, we will continue to slowly adapt at a market rate.
Fingers crossed that they dont hit some paradigm-tilting point where they get to "DOD abundance" while we are still transitioning, eh?

Re: China AI driven bomb making factories
Yes, its an awakening US that will slowly adjust to a changing world in this case. My susicion is that the CVP looks to a time when they could run low fast om ammo in a China-Pacific War of their own making. The choke point is that in this case you can make all the bombs you want, but getting these to fighters and ships is another story.
Maybe they planned drone convoys to guarantee this? This also may be one reason the Party is pushing Xi as a Mao substitute? Dying for a party leader is different than dying for a god, perhaps?

Re: China AI driven bomb making factories
We can "war-game" this. Think of military themed sci fi you may have read, and the kind of drone posts we have seen on KAI.
Automated factories can make both the ammo and the drones that use them. Also drone supply planes that take the weapons to land, sea or "new island" posts.
Other specific specialty drones can be made for known needed roles.
Such as - one that regularly checks the status of stored weapons. Repair drones will be needed as well. Drones that refuel or switch-out batteries for other drones.
