The "Ew! Trump!" National Review crushes the two Resisty Repubs who now get solid Media Respect

The point they both agree on is that Pres Trump is wrong - there is no Spygate! There was no spying!

Both are now darling, just darling. C'mon over here, booby! Lets talk!

Trey has not been "resisty" except on this point. Marco has been resisty ever since it was clear that Candidate Trump was cleaning his clock.

NRO says no, it seems that both guys saw the evidence right before their eyes in open congressional testimony.

https://www.nationalreview.com/2018/05/trump-campaign-spying-obama-administration-investigation/

"Trey Gowdy and Marco Rubio evidently paid little attention to testimony before their own committees...

...Obama officials made the Trump campaign the subject of a counterintelligence investigation.

The bipartisan Beltway establishment has apparently had its fill of this “Trump colluded with Russia” narrative — the same narrative the same establishment has lustily peddled for nearly two years.

The Obama administration recklessly chose to deploy the government’s awesome counterintelligence powers to investigate — and, more to the point, to smear — its political opposition as a Kremlin confederate."

"Now that this ploy has blown up on the Justice Department and the FBI, these agencies — the ones that went out of their way, and outside their guidelines, to announce to the world that the Trump campaign was under investigation — want you to know the president and his campaign were not investigated at all, no siree.

What could possibly have made you imagine such a thing?"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The NRO article points out that now fired, former FBI Director Comey testified, giving..
"...an unambiguous declaration that the FBI was investigating the Trump campaign.
That is why, for nearly two years, Washington has been entranced by the specter of “Trump collusion with Russia,” not “Papadopoulos collusion with Russia.”
A campaign, of course, is an entity that acts through the individuals associated with it.
But Comey went to extraordinary lengths to announce that the FBI was not merely zeroing in on individuals of varying ranks in the campaign; the main question was whether the Trump campaign itself — the entity — had “coordinated” in Russia’s espionage operation."
The article as a whole is worth it, going specifically into how Gowdy dances around the issue of:
Was the Ex Pres Obama admin spying on the Trump Campaign – the campaign of the opposing political party?
Of course it was! That has traveled from a laugh a minute montage of late night comidians making fun of the idea to a fact we all accept.
Gowdy has plays the "I love the FBI and Justice Dept" song often - he has doe so many times when talking about all this.
That song is a variant of similar classics that can be heard about local Cop Shops under investigations going all the way back to the infamous Serpico (Knapp Commission) investigations in NY, NY, and before.
I personally understand Gowdys' feelings of loyalty to the two Cop Shops under public scrutiny at the moment. Any who have some family connections to Cops can understand speaking out that way if those particular Cops were under discussion.
Too bad Gowdy can't see past his emotional devotion to the ideal.
He apparently cannot face the simple, clear, obvious point on which he has joined Marco "Mainstream, whatever you guys wnat me to say" Rubio in denying.
Simply - Comeys' testimony shows that the Obama White House was investigating/spying on the Trump Campaign during the election contest and after.
Very crucially - all the Fed officials, from the White House to the Intel Agencies all hid that from the top levels of Congress.
That top level – the "gang of eight" – is what that select group is for. They exist so that Congress can be kept informed about just such problematic, special cases.
They hid it because it had zero grounds.
Zero. Nothing solid.
Just accusations, and one "dodgy dossier."
Its ok if a democrat does it. How passionately The Don, and the rest of the Koch-owned Rep elites care, is another matter.
We and those who feel this way try, or dont and are much more likely to fail.
If Pres Trump and other Repubs who at least might still have some glimmer of truth in them dont see it at the moment, it's even more important to try.
Social media helped Candidate Trump, and helped Brexit win and helped a surprising win for a more conservo-populist, very anti-immigrant Italian election win.
The same elites in both parties and on both sides of the Atlantic have social media under the gun.
They want to make it "less rambunctious."
Until those elites crush it, it will help push these facts against the "story-flips."
This one adds up to two for me, for major story flips.
The first of the two: Earlier you may recall we had days of publicity that the "FISA Memo" should not be decalcified. Absolutely not! - "To do so would be catastrophic!"
Then it was declassified and released. The script flips to the opposite: "Ho hum - so what? This is nothing new; why all the fuss?"
Similar here. First months of "Trump - Russia" alarm - "Does this Campaign have real legitimacy? Was the Campaign complicit?"
Now "Whadda mean - you say I said what? No, no - t was always select guys in that campaign we were investigating. We were never investigating the Trump Campaign itself."
Thus they can be incredibly obvious in their script-flips - when the networks and cable channels are most of the story.
With social media and AM talk radio, and the conservo and libertarian websites that support Pres Trump at least sometimes, we really can beat these clumsy lunkheads.
We can show people we discuss this with detailed items what we are talking about, and YouTube folks can as well.
Some them do this to higher ratings than some cable news-chat shows.
