Re: Skeptics Claim Moon Landing Is Fake

I remember from my youth that they made a TV movie that fed this idea.

I suspect that some viewers were really attracted to the movie and the idea. Some mildly - but others?

They went far. Some went totally into it.

Today, we have the evolutionary response to that original, simple puddle of mind-slime.

Amazng! The wonderful, lovable human mind.

Are you thinking of Capricorn One?

You just reminded me that I have never seen that. I tried to order it through Netflix, but they didn't have it. I found it really cheap on eBay. It stars OJ Simpson!

"Are you thinking of Capricorn One?"

Yes, Cap One, I had to Wiki it to be sure.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capricorn_One

Reading the Wiki brings back some flickering, slight visual recollections of that washed out '70s' TV "technicolor" pic. And yes, of both OJ and James Brolin as well.

Very surprising to me that I can bring any of it back at all, as I have a very blank recollection of most of my early years.

I may have paid more intent attention to this because Sci Fi was a big part of my early life The Sci Fi tie-in is direct with the high tech conspiracy theory and space program plot-threads.

Altho I find I got it wrong in my earlier post - this movie had a "Mars-shot being faked" plot rather than a "fake Apollo mission" plot.

As I said, I have never seen it.

When it comes, and I watch it, I will be particularly interested in seeing how they depict the Mars mission.

At the time, it was understood that such a mission would take years. The ship would have been quite large, and the lander would not have looked anything like the Apollo lander.
