Re: Poll: Working class most supportive of Imigration limit

Spud,

It makes sense. Look at construction sites! For me, my first several years of paid work, at least six to ten, was entry level busboy-dishwasher stuff while drifting through two State Colleges in Illinois.

I learned more than how to "bus" tables and wash dishes while doing that decade of work.

How to deal with co-workers, bosses, customers. Different workplaces and how to adapt to them. How to bank the money and keep track of it. A new interest in an already present interest in finances due to that.

A very good foundation for me for working as an older adult.

Now, are those jobs closed out by needing to speak spanish?

Same for construction. It depends on the area.

If Pres Trump forces E Verify into real strong use, it will cause a fury in the US Chamber of Commerce that makes their opposition to him now look tame - which it is not. Its pretty quiet, but strong.

The "owned" Congress will twist in agony. Which master to appease? Who to turn to first? "Damn you, Trump!" will be in many Congressional minds.

Gee - what a change from now. So far, no down-side.

And if he pushes it, I picture him showing up at a factory with the owner, Bob.

He may wander all over creation with his talk. But he will drive home one simple message, and the crowd will roar.

To the workers who decide to show up - and I bet many will, as well as many locals:

"I think American Jobs belong to Americans. Its that simple. Bob here agrees."

As the applause, hoots, and shouts of "Trump, Trump" and "USA, USA" roll over them, both the Pres of the US and of the company smile.

Bob, smiling, is grittting his teeth and thinking ($%^*.....).

Well, when the Chicoms start a war, they will end Globalism forever. I think Don's economic nationalism upset the Party's time table.

War?

No. Now, if Ex Pres "Red Line? Thats the Worlds Red Line" Obama was in office, maybe.

But Pres Donald J. "Fire and Fury" Trump?

Uh, no.

But I am no soothsayer, and of course it could have broken out while I am typing.

If it does, they loose, and they know it.

We would pay a huge price, so I dont want it.

But that reality is known very well by the very competent Mr. Xi. Thats my confidence factor.

It broke out already, when Trump announced his terms. Since then there has been some retaliation from China, who are willing to take it to the end...

"...

On the issue of China-U.S. economic and trade issues, the Chinese position has been made very clear. We do not want to fight, but we are not afraid to fight trade war.

We declare to the US that we will listen to what we say and do what we say. If the United States disregards the opposition of the Chinese side and the international community and persists in unilateralism and trade protectionism, the Chinese side will dedicate itself to the end and will definitely fight back. It must adopt new comprehensive response measures, and at any cost, resolutely defend the interests of the country and the people.

Wayne,

War is not "trade war."

Yes, we have been in a trade war for some time, depending on views, and it simply ramped up since Pres Trump started pushing it.

I wrote of actual war.

Any country can attack another.

In considering attacking us, China probably looks at this as it does when it considers many big moves.

There are two main things to consider, from the perspective of their ChiCom Politburo leadership.

One, the maintenance of their State.

Two, enlarging the State by seizing more territory. Thus Tibet, the South China Sea, and ongoing psych warfare against Taiwan. That has gone on to such a degree that it was a fierce national battle for one Party to get elected daring to announce that they were independent from Commie China.

Thus movement to seize territory at the contested mountainous border with India.

And you think, Wayne, that they are likely to add to these two main goals - and intend to go to war with the US?

Just what is the risk of warfare for this regional nuclear power if it wars against the worlds only Hyperpower?

To gain - what?

They are already diplomatically fighting Pres Trump trade-wise, and also fighting and giving in more than for any prior Pres regarding how they help with the NORKs.

With Pres Trump, they probably dont anticipate him being bullied or scared by their threats or threatening military actions.

If they did, they would not have given into him regarding the NORKS. Why suddenly go soft? It is not their nature.

No, Xi is competent. His war-gamers can present him with the asymmetric facts.

A reasonable guess at a high probability postwar result:

They get totally "regime changed" regarding what is left of their country once it is done.

The US goes through dramatic rebuilding efforts regarding what is left of our country once it is done. We find out what Pres Trump does as the 21st Centurys' FDR.

The world economy goes topsy turvy.

After noting the devastation of China, few consider repeating Chinas' decision to test Pres Trump.

That kind of end-game doesn't make it sound likely for Xi to light off a war.

You may want to take a look at the links dished up, by the Google search I linked to above...

Here's an example:

"...

Harris said he was alarmed by China’s construction of military bases on seven disputed islands in the South China Sea that neighbouring countries lay territorial claims to.

In 2016, the permanent court of arbitration in The Hague, sided with the Philippines in the dispute it brought, saying there was no legal basis for China’s claim of historic sovereignty over waters within the so-called nine-dash line in the sea.

Regardless, Chinese military build-up continues in the sea.

“China’s impressive military build-up could soon challenge the United States across almost every domain,” Harris said.

That's China giving the USA the middle finger. The frog in a pot style.

Here's another link to help you Americans who pride yourselves, on being people who storm into wars...

[url][sign in to see URL]

Of course, should the USA be stupid enough to attack China, it won't go well for you.

Here's a US general telling you how things will go, just against North Korea...

Of course, there is also the attacks against US infrastructure that would happen, either through cyber attacks or human agents, which would plunge the USA into chaos.

But don't worry, just keep bragging like you did in another thread on this forum, [sign in to see URL]#post4190

After all, you have such a great record of winning...

Try breeding more so that you can keep sending your cannon fodder to start wars, since everyone investing in the military industrial complex needs to make more money.

I for one, would love to watch a war between you and China, or even North Korea, if you haven't got the guts to attack China. So c'mon, get everyone you know to send emails to Trump, telling him how it's "your nature to be prone to war", therefore you demand a war with China or North Korea.

I'll get my popcorn ready...

Isn't South Africa running into problems keeping it's water purification plants open? Also, your popcorn comes from the USA, naturally. so if its bye bye time for the US, then enjoy it while you can.
