‘RYDE’ a new global currency (proposal)
This was first proposed in Kurzweilai Forum a few years ago. I am re posting it here as there is no record of that Forum.

I don't see the advantage of adding a new "currency" to the electronic trading. I buy things with PayPal all the time. It automatically converts between currencies. What is wrong with that?

PayPal requires US Dollar account, go to Paris, Moscow, Barcelona, or Tokyo and use it, you can’t
Or try and use Bitcoin at a restaurant in Beijing, Seoul, Johannesburg, or Cairo.
You don’t get the problem I am addressing...
But new ideas always take a while to sink in

I'm afraid I don't travel much. Have you tried using it in those places? Are you sure it won't eventually get there?
