Re: Kurzweil Forum Shut Down
Parting:
1) Such sweet sorrow
The matter is held close, considered, and delt with in depth. Elapsed sadness timeline - long!
2) yank off the bandage, cry, walk off with the tears drying in the breeze of the brisk walk.
Elapsed sadness timeline - incredibly short.
New time measurement needed to estimate: Zippo!

Re: Kurzweil Forum Shut Down
Five days now. Nothing has been changed and there are no new articles. It is a ghost town.

Re: Kurzweil Forum Shut Down
Bizarre. Which draws one to consider the competency of the managers (?) or even the owner. If its unimportant to him, understandable. Yet, if he wants to lead people to the Singularity, he probably needs some people-sense, or hire someone who does.
Conversely, Zuck just bribes congressmen. Go figure.

Six days, nothing new, no change.

They have apparently been at this for half a year. Just the shutdown has taken nearly a week. How long did it take Zuckerberg to launch Facebook?
The half-life of human attention on the Internet is about one week. If they don't get something going soon, people will forget they ever existed.

Re: Kurzweil Forum Shut Down
They said it was dangerous to keep a back up of the forum. Wonder why?
(Information) placed by smart people?

Re: Kurzweil Forum Shut Down
Somebody must've reported your commentary, and felt they had to pretend something. It good that its gone because they have hurt their own cause, and didn't put a dent in ours.
Alternatively, if one goes to Reddit-its all UBI +Solar Power +Robots taking jobs--sans sufficient evidence. :-(

Re: Kurzweil Forum Shut Down
Spud, you're right. This is a classical liberal site, where views can be expressed and can expect a hard push-back.
