Trump waived executive privilege when he called Bolton a liar

https://www.washingtonpost.com/outlook/2020/01/27/trump-waived-executive-privilege-when-he-called-bolton-liar/

quote:

But now, the executive privilege argument is no longer available. Trump’s tweets directly denying the substance of Bolton’s reported allegations waive any privilege that might have protected them from public disclosure. Privilege is meant to keep a president’s secrets confidential. If the president reveals those secrets or publicly discusses the conversations himself, there is no longer any need to protect them from disclosure.

What a brilliant self-own. 8D checkers I tell ya!

WAPO would claim Trump waived his right to be President because, in his heart, he had his fingers crossed when he took his oath of office.

Then, they would expect us to yawn through a five page article while they make their obscure case.

As Alan Dershowitz pointed out today, even if Trump did exactly what John Bolton says he did, that still would not rise to the level of impeachment.

This is a one-end 8D chess game.

I'm glad you still express interest, lucid.

Dems are seeing the light - more and more - and giving up. Not just this nonsensicle impeachment effort - this whole, life encompassing push to resist reality.

Your President is named Donald J Trump. He signs his big John Hancocky sig on Bills on the regular - and tweets it right to us.

Guatemala has joined Mexico and has transformed itself into a wall!

Lordy, lucid - I respect your tenacity, Sir!

If you stick, and keep resistimg reality like a champ every day - you may find some kind of limited immortality, as the last Dem still fighting for this outside of DC!

I have always accepted that Trump was “my president” even if I don’t like him, but he also withheld vital military aid from a vulnerable foreign ally in order to pressure them into investigating his political rivals, and he should be removed from office for that blatant and egregious abuse of power. You have a warped worldview if you think Democrats are starting to accept that what Trump did was acceptable.

Now it looks like Bolton is willing to confirm Trump’s bad acts, and the White House and Trump’s GOP defenders are trying as hard as they can to keep that testimony from happening. At some point you have to ask yourself why everyone willing to go under oath confirms the same basic story.

I absolutely do not believe Democrats are starting to accept that what Trump did was acceptable. They never thought that what he did was unacceptable in the first place. Democrats thirst for power and they are willing to destroy everything that is good and decent to acquire it.

Using military aid as leverage to hurt your political rivals is unacceptable, and it is absurd to claim that Democrats are being disingenuous when they say so.

Joe Biden is not a political opponent. He is the head of a crime family. Everyone knows that. It is one of those Hollowood open secrets.

Re: Trump waived executive privilege when he called Bolton a liar

Here is a Hollowood article opposed to Trump that, nevertheless, lets the truth seep through:

quote:

The problem for Democrats is that a review of Hunter Biden’s career shows clearly that he, along with Joe Biden’s brother James, has been trading on their family name for decades, cashing in on the implication — and sometimes the explicit argument — that giving money to a member of Joe Biden’s family wins the favor of Joe Biden. https://theintercept.com/2019/10/09/joe-hunter-biden-family-money/

When you see a roach, you know the walls are crawling with them. We should have heeded the words of Seth McFarland when he hinted about Harvey Weinstein. We should see the Biden crime family for what it really is.

Trump made a simple request: Look into this and see if they are what they obviously are. That was his patriotic duty.

A “simple request” that also used hundreds of millions in military aid as leverage. Quite an amazing coincidence that Biden and his son are the only people that Trump seemed to want to see investigated considering Biden is/was the presumed Democrat front runner for the 2020 election.
