I cant read the article 'cause I cant make a giant add go away.

I've seen criticism, but I don't think he's gone Libbo.

I think he's not a Trump hater, but also not a big fan. The two points you make are that he's gay and rich?

The point of the author (I was able to fiddle the add away) was that the dude was bought off. No, I sure don't believe the Don is gold, I believe instead that the democrats have become hostile to the existence of the USA, and need to be understood in this manner.

The elite Dems certainly fit your description - more and more of regular Dems do, so disturbingly.

As for Drudge - he got rich with the success of his site, but did that turn him to the Dems?

Sure, he could have been seduced over there by some regular newsies who he would want to be part of. He had long wanted to break into the News biz.

I haven't seen anything like that, though. Are you thinking this due to this article, or some other article?

Well even Limbaugh noticed it, however you describe it Doc.
Limbaugh: Have You Looked At The Drudge Report Lately? "It Makes It Look Like This Country's Finished"

It's like they became the Koch brothers or a product of Mitt Romney. I think its money, I think it's the top layer of the US Chamber of Commerce, I remember national review pointing out back in 2011 that the Republicans in congress upon election immediately surrendered to Obama and then all pretended that were fighting him.

The republican leadership are whores, "open whores," as the Zombiefood* called them, and the democrats are secret whores. The point is the US Middle Class needs relief from the manipulations from both the ghetto and the boardroom. I talk like Chucky Marx, I vote for Orange Dude.

Rushbo-

I disagree with his take. The page has the tops stuff on top of the middle pic and link.

Those are the stories he thinks are the most newsworthy.

The three columns of script-links are meant to be what they are. Hooky stuff, and anything really big in the news that he thinks should be there.

Then links to many newspapers, and many wire services. A great place to spend some time reviewing the news on various wire services, and they front pages.

Then the middle-bottom column of writers to link to.

The only change is that our news has gotten channeled down to fantastical fare such as Rush highlighted, and we can indeed see such stuff regularly there.

I often scoot up and sown the three columns finding only one or none to link. And don't bother with the top stuff. Or anything else there.

But over the years, every once in a while I explore the wires, papers, and try a new writer from the list.

The thing from Rush, I think, is like I said - our news f

Doc-man! I stopped heading to Drudge 30 days ago, simply because if I wanted hear the voice of the Elites, I'd sit in front of the wall listening to Rachel Dachau! Bleah! I am an a US Nationalist in the shade of Steve Bannon, rather then a stalwart attender of the country club, the dow jones (I do listen to fox biz a lot), and what Hannity would call "A Great American." I leave that for you Mil guys who earned your spurs. Still, we both want the USA to survive for a while unlike the democrats and the rinos who seem unconcerned with this possibility of it going away.

I'm with hou on not watching little Rachel. But I do watch verious lefty types, and it's boringly reapeatedly simpliticly relying on basic rhetorical flourishes to defend idiocy.

I get regular feeding of my deep political thirst from many conservo sites, too.

Part of why I disagree with Rush is because, even though he, the Great Levin, Sean and others fight the good fight regularly, I think the Drudge page struck his editorial sense and simply fell into the meat-grinder of producing some few good minutes of speil.

I see Drudge as not at all very different than it was way back when. Back in that hurly-burly tumult of Monica!

I've been happy with such little change! Sites keep getting dumbed down into many fewer articles, all with a large photo attached, and often a vid.

He himself probably went through many changes over the decades. Given the onset of wealth and fame - how not?

The site dunna seems to have drifted left. The stuff Rush found so troubling has been what Drudge appears to have looked for forever. The most hooky stuff, and at least a few actual news stories to his taste.

The rest is lot of newspaper, wire service, and columnist links.

The "alarming and disturbing" stories are the product of "the march through the institutions." During that march our budding young journalists have been told to dig into and tear up America. Institutions, cultural artifacts in stone and print, all of it.

By now its at least sort of a freak show all over, only saved at all by a solid presence of sensible souls in each generation that resisted the pestilential mind-warping of those who now lord it over academia.

Rush is as you and I, Spud. Older and seeing the decay all around.

He blames Drudge. I don't. His site is almost the exact same lens it ever was. Its fixated on a very changey country, is all.

Doc, you may be correct, and I used D. as a point of triangulation for any claim made by something called a journalist. The claim is made, does it get to Drudge as a filter. I also used part of the time, Redstate, or Right Scoop and Breitbart. If an item appears on WaPo, I need it filtered first by somebody I have grown to trust.

I learned this first during 60 Minutes when Morely Safer did news items about Britain falling to punk rock, or coal miner strikes. The funny thing is it never happened. It was then I started reading US News and World Report. Balance, then, as the news became more unbalanced, why read the origination article at all, since, the editors and me are not, not, not, on the same side? I find your willingness to put up with the Drudge crap, courageous, but if I wanted news approved by dur Fuhrer, I'd have stuck with CNN :-[ You must be able to tolerate spicy foods as well, huh? Toss down lots of Ghost chillies, and Scotch Bonnets, eh?

Nah to much spice.

I find standard table pepper all I need to add to salt. Even "mild" spicy stuff seems too spicy to me.

I read my Dads US News and World Report as a kid, along with the paper - and trusted the TV news. How simple and easy life was then!

I check any Dem Media stuff that I might believe on consrvo media, on DuckDuckgo, and keep looking until I can see for myself.
