Re: Michael Cohen Trumps personal attorney may be flipping
What they are saying is, "Surely, we have persecuted Michael Cohen to the point where he is bound to flip!"
Curiously, I think they will fail.

Re: Michael Cohen Trumps personal attorney may be flipping
When I get the message "your free ride is over, el cheapo - pay if ya want more from us," I do not feel the appeal.
I always dismiss the paywall polite request and use the so-available search ability we all have and search for the story I was curious to read.
Thus I found the not-so-shocking, or even kind of important "nut" of data relating to this breaking news:
"People close to President Donald Trump keep suggesting that his longtime lawyer Michael Cohen is likely to flip, or cooperate with the government by providing information on others in exchange for a lesser punishment."
http://www.businessinsider.com/trump-lawyer-michael-cohen-flip-former-assistant-us-attorney-2018-4
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Shocker! "peeps who are close to" POTUS, you say. The janitor? Mebbe.
Its now narrowed down to one of the many untrustworthy White House or other Fed employees who could fall into that vague category "close to."
So, zero ability to evaluate what may be the upstairs maids' "suggestion" that this "may be" about to happen.
So thats it. An anonymously sourced rumor that itself is vague, not definite. And no deadline or other meaty data, and no back-up beyond the unknowns source.
I see my instinct to not bother clicking on this story that has been trending for a day or two was right.
Re: Michael Cohen Trumps personal attorney may be flipping
I actually kinda doubt Cohen is going to flip, or at least I don't think he's going to flip just yet. It sounds like his current lawyers were well suited to the document review issues, but not particularly suited for criminal defense which is what he actually needs right now.
Still pretty wild that the President's personal lawyer needs criminal defense attorneys, but I'm not quite ready to jump to the conclusion that Cohen's (probable) crimes automatically implicate Trump.
Re: Michael Cohen Trumps personal attorney may be flipping
"Pretty wild, man - the Pres's personal shyster needs him a shyster!"
Wild? Disgraceful. But not for Cohen. For Muelly.
Its abundantly clear that this is an abuse of Muellers' prosecutorial authority, to harass and threaten someone to get someone else.
Sadly, a legal abuse, to put someone "over a barrel" and force them to help a Prosecutor "get" somebody else. Known to be a commonly used tactic legally when you are prosecuting some suspect.
Illegitimate when you choose to prosecute suspect A only because you want suspect Z.
An analogy - in that example, suspect A is "collateral damage" to an Ex Pres Obama clone with an analogous "Kill list." You are choosing who you want to "kill," and damage to others is a mere "bad of shells," as the Great One often put it.
"Wild, man." Wild. Thats what our legal system is supposed to do? No. No, not wild - again; disgraceful.
If Cohen committed crimes then I don't feel bad about him being prosecuted. The fact that he's being used to get to Trump doesn't change anything, and it is the same practice that the authorities used to take down mob families (because it is effective).
