Spud,

I am glad somebody is.

I read a link from you related to it the other day, and tried to hunt around to see why nobody was ramping up the power to try to see if the thrust ramps up too.

I mean, noodling around in the lab to dot all the i's and cross all the t's is vital - but either the durn thing works as some experiments say, or doesnt as some others say.

So somebody do a durn hi-power test!

Plans are in the works to ramp up the power. Like you, I think it is a waste of time to keep trifling with these microscopic measurements. Get it to do enough so that anyone with eyes can see it go!

My suspicion right this moment, is that they can't. The real propulsion trick is beamed power. Using photon sails, you send a nuke powered laser array, set into orbit around Mars, taking two years to get there by Hohnman transfer orbit, then build one on the Moon, then you get a Push me-Pull You, method, to move kilotons of material between Mars/Asteroid belt--Earth Orbit.

I am thinking some sort of unobtainium. I wouldn't do this to say Yay! we landed on Mars, now, so what? This is what happened with Apollo. No true payoff. Palladium, who knows $$$$

I think the EmDrive is done for:
