Lindsay Graham said no nomination should be processed for Suprene Court in a Presidential election year.
That actually is not what he said. He actually said that it should not be done in an election year in which the Presidency and Senate are divided.
Besides, Democrats have lost their ethical entitlement. Their illegal coup to unseat a democratically elected President has resulted in this. A similar situation would arise with an employee that is caught stealing from the company or a patient that sells their opioid prescription to a drug dealer. Some behaviors are sufficiently heinous as to undo prior social contracts.
In any case, we cannot go into this election with an even number of justices. The result could be an irreconcilable Constitutional crisis. Trump has a moral imperative to replace Ginsberg as soon as is technically feasible.
Re: Ruth Bader Ginsberg Has Died. Donald Trump's impromptu reaction to Ginsberg's death was perfect. It was respectful and appropriate.
Joe Biden constantly looked down to read from a prepared script and immediately went political. His behavior was horrendous. That alone should make voters leery of supporting him.
Re: Ruth Bader Ginsberg Has Died. In contrast to creaky old Joe, Don showed class. Scott Adams describes that, and he also hits other issues about it, dealing with this very politely, and well:
Re: Ruth Bader Ginsberg Has Died. Every living adult knows what to do when they are informed that an important person who is not Adolph Hitler dies. Say, "That's really sad. I'm so sorry to hear that. She/He was a great...and the world will be at a loss...." It is a template prepared by thousands of years of adults being thusly informed and seeing other adults respond in kind. How could Biden have screwed up that fundamentally simple task? The only rational conclusion is that he is far more gone than we formerly suspected.
Re: Ruth Bader Ginsberg Has Died. Trump can’t shake his history. His new found ‘generosity’ to the late Judge Ginsberg is not credible. There are Republican Senators calling it’s time to wait until after the election. Lindsay Graham is on tape describing this precise situation, and will now contradict himself. I doubt if Murkowski, Collins and Romney can stop MCConnell and Trump from getting this done.
An 8 member court with 5 conservative judges on it is no threat to any Republican politician
Re: Ruth Bader Ginsberg Has Died. Collins has announced no opposition to voting for the third Trump Justice (not a quote!).
So that makes it one on the record - Murky Murkowski. Romney is on thin Mormon Ice in Utah.
That State is not Resisty, and elected famous home State fellah Mitt to the Senate, as he ran as being Pro-Trump.
Just as in his joke run against Barry, he claimed to be "ferociously" Conservative. Hah!
His true colors started shining through fast, and his anti-Trumpness is so obvious to so many that guesses that he'll refuse to support this are already going around.
But Mitt may not want to get Primaried and Replaced next time. Either in November, or in the next Midterms. So, its a tossup if Mitt will be next on the record.
And if Murky will stick with her anti-Trump feelings.
You might get lucky, Rich...
But I think you guess right, and Don will get pick #3.
