Abbott is moving!
"Abbott ramps up production of new COVID-19 test"
The North Chicago medical device maker is in the process of shipping 150,000 tests to U.S. customers, with plans to deploy 1 million tests per week.

Re: Abbott labs will ship 5 minute Wuhan Chicomm Flu test
Trump's strategy to hold off until reinforcements arrive is working beautifully.
No more handshaking. He didn't like it anyway.
We have testing for the virus now.
We'll have testing for antigens next week.
We have an effect treatment for the virus now.
We'll have an effect vaccine in record time.
What's remarkable is that far fewer people have died from all causes over the few weeks than normal. Even flu deaths are down.
MAGA.

Re: Abbott labs will ship 5 minute Wuhan Chicomm Flu test
Good point, Red.
This good Abbott news points out that they are situated in North Chicago, Illinois.
I just remembered driving past that North Chicago Chem/Pharma facility years ago, a few times.
North Chicago is way north of Chicago - approx. two hours of driving between the two.
The small, very poor town of North Chicago, Illinois is also where a base I was stationed at, is: Great Lakes Training Center. That's why this rings a bell.
I just recalled - it made a real impression on me at the time to see several very large manufacturing facilities there, all in a row, stretching out on some road I used once or twice.
Not with "Acme Concrete" or something on the side of any of the buildings, or as the big "Entry" sign.
No - all had medical names I recognized from dealing with medical products for over a decade by that point.
Way "back in the day," this is where these guys had fled to, to flee the big taxes that grew over the years where they'd "been born" - somewhere near Chicago.
