Re: Animal-free milk
I like the ability to enjoy milk, though for years I have moved first to 2%, then 1%, and now "free."
Now this "craft" faux moo juice?
If its kosher - meaning to me, as healthy or more so than the fat free milk I take now, and tastes as good or better, then sure.
Like the leather substitute, I like the lower resource demand needed for each cow.
And like that issue, a good argument against the inhumane econNut movement hides within this one.

Re: Animal-free milk
Doc, as an aside, you went the wrong way on milk. Low carbers/ketos substitute heavy cream for milk. I have a half cup of HC with vits every morning!

Re: Animal-free milk
I no longer drink milk. For cereal and espresso drinks, I use Almond Breeze:
I will give this new product a try. If it really tastes and feels like milk, I will adopt it.

Re: Animal-free milk
It doesn't, more like water. As an experiment, try your cereal with some heavy cream. Delicious, but all wrong for a low carb diet (the cereal).
However, HC is dynamite in lattes. I order a double shot short latte with heavy cream. It costs $5, which is obscence, but it is obscenely good.

Are you referring to the new fake milk or to Almond Breeze?
I have been drinking Almond Breeze for years.

Re: Animal-free milk
Almonds, actual almonds, are a regular part of my diet. Never tried the milk substitute.
Go Ketonic! - I'm sold on it, just haven't moved to do anything about it yet.
Carbs - if everybody doesnt know, kill the cereals and breads and stick to veggies for your carbs.
Its hard to do, sure, to kick all the breads, breakfast cereal, and all that made from cereal grains. Hard for many, but not all.
Still, look into it if not sure. And talk to someone you know who saw the bennies. These days, many of us have someone who fits that bill.
