Youtube Instructional on creating a cockroach cyborg

This is old, but its pretty cool. create your own remote control roach. I'm absolutely hopeless when it comes to fiddly engineering. I made a 12 note synthesizer when i was 15 for my electronics class and it barely worked (due to mixing up transistors a couple of notes were in the wrong order).

Imagine how fôcking amazed the brightest minds from 100 years ago would find this throwaway piece of science education.

Re: Youtube Instructional on creating a cockroach cyborg

I, in my imagination a few years ago, dreamed of putting a living sponge in fishbowl, and attaching a magical powerful quantum chip to the sponge, thus giving it human level intelligence. I also threw in a muscular graphene body, humanlike, for mobility.

So equipped, the sponge went off to seek it's fortune in the city. Finding itself on hard times, the sponge decided on a life of crime, till it gained enough cash to use for investments and upgrades. It soon decided on muggings because of it's ability to hit and run so quickly. Soon, the sponge was flush with illicit cash, which it used to form dummy corporations, to further its investments.

I also pondered that the fishbowl would somehow have some sort of CGI on it to form a face (Kool Aid?) to assist in its necessary human contacts, in order to further it's investment strategy.

That's how far I went because I had to go pee, or something?

Very interesting, Prof. I did simple electronics in vocational electronics in High School, and years later got a Digital Electronics Tech degree.

And never used any of it! But still interested, including in the idea of roboticising bugs.

Roaches are a natural, due to size, flat bodies great for carrying loads, and plenty of strength to carry those loads.

And few will rouse volunteers to "save the roaches."

This was pretty basic, and looks very doable. But I have no patience for the experimental.

Gimme a kit that turns a roach into an RC spy with a camera and voice recorder!
