Ah! The dems and their voters. Somebody promises free stuff, and when people take this at face value, because, we all know how honest people are, the state takes over. Delightful!

They're desperate to be able to fund the next cycle of payments for the food and workers to handle the food - they are sure that the "poorest of the poor" who ain't paying can pay something.
This was, per the article, an effort to shake up the deadbeats and shake some shekels outa 'em.
Forget it! The deadbeats probably smiled when they got the letter. Not from thinking about the free lunches that Junior is eating.
No - smiling about what a wonderful thing it would be if the threat actually happened.
Dreaming of some great payoff they very well might get if the County does grab a kid or two.
The County would break at some point, probably quickly, under publicity about how they "stole a poor Black Womans' child because she could not afford a sandwich for his lunch."
She smiles, dreaming of being a center of staged community mourning.
With some activist outside as her spokeswoman - denouncing the White Racist reporter - regardless of the reporters race - for insensitivity.
Yes - good effort, School food supervisor.
But give it up. You won't scare, and certainly won't "shame" these deadbeats into paying.

I'm not playing, brother. I feel this stuff, and think about it, and the words come out.
I get some bemused hate and scowls in my life when this happens in person, and a wee bit of love. Over my life, the family has mostly pretty well accommodated my little twists and turns to here - fortunately!
