Re: This Looks Fantastic, but the Hollowood Hates It ugh! I did drama at high-school and was dragged to the London Broadway production. I had to review it and basically shÄt on it. Andrew Lloyd webber draws a lot of criticism from the high brow critics and for the most part, I concur. Looking back "Memories" from cats does evoke something - I think its partly down to being older and having more of a life to look back upon. Also "Dont cry for me Argentina" has that extraordinary bit going " The truth is I never left you All through my wild life My mad existence I kept my promise Don't keep your distance." - but apparently he ripped off the melody.

Re: This Looks Fantastic, but the Hollowood Hates It Cats croaking makes me sad, so, idiotically, I will likely avoid this cinema. My wife and I are turned off by forcing ourselves to view Avengers 4 (out since April) because its 182 minutes long. Also theatre owners like to seat people in the 2 front most rows, so for 3 hours staring straight up like it's the Sistine Chapel is a no-no, even 4 months after 1st release.

Don't understand why the Left hates it (too 'uncanny valley'?)
I don't know why anyone is assuming that there is some explicitly left/right divide here. I don't think there is anything political about "Cats" is there? For me it is purely down the to the CGI, yeah. Would have preferred entirely live action.
