No, atheists don’t side with Islam. I have no idea where you got that idea from.
As for atheists seeing Christianity as the prime enemy, I’m not sure that is correct either. It is true that people like Dawkins, Harris, and Dennett tend to focus on Christianity but I think that is because it is the religion they are most familiar with, having been brought up in Christian countries. For centuries now the Bible has been printed in the most widely-understood language in the world meaning anyone can read it and learn what contradictory nonsense it contains. The Koran is written in Arabic (I think there’s some Islamic law decreeing it must be written in this language) and unless you have a calling to become a scholar of Islamic culture and theology what’s the point in going to the effort of learning Arabic in order to read a book when you are 99% certain its just as nonsense as any other religious text?
Those books Red mentioned (proof of life and consciousness beyond death) are worth reading. I have read both of them a couple of times. What’s most interesting to me is that the explanations put forward by debunkers somehow seem less plausible than the claim that NDE happens because consciousness continues after the body is dead.

75% of Americans polled say they are Christians. Most "leftists" are still Christians. Why would Christians support attacks on Christianity? You're assuming that everyone on the opposite end of the left/right spectrum from you all share the same beliefs and qualities, and that is simply not true.

I searched many different dictionaries and the only definition I could find of "leftist" was a person on the left of the political spectrum. Here is the Merriam Webster definition of "leftism". If Spud means something different than the way dictionaries define it, then he is more than welcome to clarify what he means specifically by leftists and I'd be happy to respond. Either way the idea that all "leftists" are atheists who want Muslims to attack Christians is absurd.
