Re: Gravity is mathematically relatable to dynamics of subatomic particles
"Lost in Math" is an entertaining read. Modern physics searches for nothing but grants.

The title of this article says it all:
https://phys.org/news/2018-12-scientists-quantum-classical-physics.html
Basically, it means that we "could" have one set of rules now.

Re: Gravity is mathematically relatable to dynamics of subatomic particles
Hmmmm, unless it yields fast spaceships, or perpetual motion machines, it's..it's...theoretic. Sometimes I groove on it but often I do not because you get the sizzle, but never the steak.

Re: Gravity is mathematically relatable to dynamics of subatomic particles
It is about one-hundredth as exciting as the proof of Fermat's Last Theorem and about one trillion times as useful. That is, it may actually prove to be useful...perhaps in the development of anti-gravity or a perpetual motion machine. Ultimately, it may make all the difference.

Re: Gravity is mathematically relatable to dynamics of subatomic particles
You say that all we get is sizzle. However, I must remind you that the last time we got steak it was in the form of nuclear bombs that put the world in peril for decades, a power source that is so dirty no one wants to use it, and the depressing news that FTL may be impossible.

A fear of physics? YOU? You make be correct on nuclear technology, but like fuel cells, may take generations to be used by everyone? The 1st fuel cell was created in 1839, 22 years before the stare of the US Civil War.

Re: Gravity is mathematically relatable to dynamics of subatomic particles
Either there is a God who cares or the Earth is a typical type 13 planet in its final phase. That essentially binary set of plausible hypotheses is what I fear.
