Re: USDA agrees on standards for cultured meats
I'm all for lab meat. When i hear vegan and vegetarian folk argue their case I cant really think of any reason why they are wrong. 30 years from now the factory farm living conditions and killing of animals will probably be seen as pretty barbaric.
Ive tried being a veggie but only lasted a few months. Veganism is so restrictive there seems to be little left you can actually eat.
What about artificial animal by-products like milk, eggs and honey?

Re: USDA agrees on standards for cultured meats
Don't know about milk and honey? Do know from my nephew, that a huge amount of vegetarians are smokers. That most Goths and Retro-tech fans are kinky. Delicious meats with no animals dying is a huge leap over the agriculture of the last 4 centuries. Its several steps up!

Re: USDA agrees on standards for cultured meats
They have had goats for many years now that make spider-silk that is included in their milk output.

Do they spit it out in a special saucer next to the breakfast plate? Presumably a more intense processing phase is involved.
Either way, same-same with anything ya want thats "bio."
Bees make honey? Bossy can as well. Heck - fermentation happens in cow tummies as well as ours. Lets program the bugger to produce some straight mead for the milkmaids bucket.
